My Cat Likes Her Brush – A mi gata le gusta su cepillo

My cat Meeko is a creature of habit.  She likes to be brushed first thing every morning.  In fact, she demands to be brushed.  When I get up in the morning, Meeko follows me into the kitchen, where I turn on the coffee pot.  Then she follows me down the hall to the study.  I sit down, pick up her cat brush, and begin brushing her fur. 

   

Mi gata Meeko es una criatura de hábitos.  A ella le gusta ser que la cepillen la primera cosa cada mañana al empezar el día.  De hecho, exige ser cepillada.  Cuando me levanto por la mañana, Meeko me sigue hacia la cocina, donde enciendo la cafetera.  Entonces me sigue por el pasillo hacia el estudio.  Me siento en una silla, recojo el cepillo de gato, y empiezo a cepillar su pelaje.

Meeko wants me to hold the brush still so she can press her face against it, first one side and then the other.  While I brush her coat, Meeko stands still for about five seconds and then she walks away.  Then she comes back for more brushing.  Sometimes Meeko will lay down and roll over so I can brush her belly.  She likes her brush!

Meeko quiere me sostener que mantenga el cepillo en quieto, así que puede empujar su cara en contra de lo él, primero un lado y entonces el otro.  Mientras cepillo su pelaje, Meeko se queda quieta por unos cinco segundos y entonces se marcha.  Entonces viene de vuelta para más que la vuelva a cepillar.  A veces Meeko se acuesta y se da la vuelta así de para que yo pueda cepillarle su panza.  ¡A ella le gusta su cepillo!

The same thing happens in the afternoon when I get home from work.  Meeko expects to be brushed, immediately, right now!  She follows me around the house until I go to the study and brush her.  Sometimes if I’m not paying attention, Meeko stands on her back legs and uses her front legs to paw me.  She’ll also squawk a little to tell me it’s that time.  After I brush her, finally she is happy again and will lay down for a nap.  Meeko is a creature of habit!

La misma cosa ocurre en por la tarde cuando llego a casa del trabajo.  Meeko espera ser que la cepillen, inmediatamente, ¡ahora mismo!  Ella me sigue por toda la casa hasta que me vaya voy al estudio y la cepillo. A veces si yo no le presto atención, Meeko está de pie sobre sus patas traseras y utiliza sus patas delanteras para tocarme con las patas.  También ella chillará a mi maulla un poco para decirme de que es ese tiempo momento.  Después de cepillarse, finalmente ella es feliz de nuevo y se acuesta para una siesta.  ¡Meeko es una criatura de hábitos!
